So I’ve been dating this guy on and off. Been out about three times so it’s not that bad. We finally managed to stay together for longer than a year without breaking up. There have been some problems, but they have kind of been worked out.

This guy has always been kind of a jerk to everyone. The day we met he called me fat twice and I punched him in the stomach (it was a really bad day, I’m usually not violent).  He may be a jerk but he loves me for who I am. Even if I do irritate him a lot. He doesn’t push me to do something I don’t want to do and I love him for that. I can see every flaw on him and accept it. And the same for him with me. I may be young (17) and known the guy for only about three years, but I truly believe I love him.

On February 10th we had our son. The pregnancy was not planned and we were both scared to death, but he did not push me to get rid of the child. Now my jerk of a boyfriend is slightly kinder. He loves our child and always pulls his “he’s my baby!” and “he’s cutier than before!” sayings everyday.

I truly believe that a child can change a persons life for the better (if you’re an 18 year old jerk). Of course not everybody is like that. But I am so proud of him. He’ll make a great father.
