This is a recollection of my memories in living to the fullest.

MY OWN BUCKET LIST

By: DrFarrah

Bucket List is a movie headed by two of the most renowned Americans, Holly wood actors of present times, Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson. It revolves around 2 old men who were completely opposite in all life’s aspect. Morgan Freeman took the role of a very brilliant mechanic who worked hard at a young age to support a family. Jack Nicholson owns chains of hospitals, filthy rich and tremendously successful in acquiring billions of dollar and assets but is a failure in family affairs. When both were hospitalized due to a morbid condition they shared a room during their treatment. Subsequently they shared lasting friendship. They also shared same prognosis, death in 6 months. Armed with a list, they traveled the world. In their journey, they learned about life viewed in each other’s eyes. Finally after their tiresome quest, they ended up in the arms of those who loved and adored them most, their families.

In life, people try to find happiness. In their search they end up emptier, more frustrated because they set themselves up for failure. In neglecting what we already have and not appreciating the present, we become lonelier, angrier and sadder. Worrying about the future and not living today are the greatest hindrance to happiness. Bucket list made me realize life is short. We must live life to the fullest. It is just one after all.

I will therefore start my journey here. At this point, I drafted the things I wish I can do and want to pursue before I die. I will start now lest I end up having a morbid condition, which can hinder me. I do not want to regret not living.

Inspired by Bucket List, I want you to share with me memories I gathered to find the true meaning of life in my eyes.

Here are some of the lists I got from the movie I want to try.

1.       Travel the entire world.

2.       Kiss the most handsome person on earth

3.       Help a total stranger.
