“Never get caught” is a tale of forlorn lovers and the perils that await them in the night.

As a lone car was driving down the road, the crickets were chirping in the humid night. Soon after the car pulled into a driveway, the driver turns off the key and gets out. The driver was quickly accompanied by his female companion. Once together, they both headed toward the boardwalk. When they topped the wooden walkway they began to hear the waves crashing into the shore. As they descended onto the beach, they noticed a group of sand crabs scatter.

The man then laid down a sheet upon which the two sat. Gazing upon one another, their bodies moved closer and closer until their lips met. Embracing each other, the two were too busy to notice a large figure coming out of the water. The figure reached its way over to the couple and once upon them it engulfed them into it’s’ being. As it headed toward the ocean it left a trail of slime. In the trail remained the bones of the deceased couple, still holding onto each other.

Far north in the hills, a single flame flickered brilliantly in the night. Yet another young couple sat wrapped together at their campsite. They laid back and began to stare at the stars. Just then the fire popped and the two jumped with the women holding her lover tightly. The man ran his calming hand up her side. The woman returned the gesture by pressing her full, moist lips against his. His hand lowered to the bottom of her blouse, which he began to remove.

About this time, they heard a noise in the woods. The two lay motionless for neither knew what lurked in the forest. The man then reached over to his bag and pulled out his pistol. The noise kept getting louder and louder. They began to think that the noise may be coming from a bear, so the two grabbed what they could and started to load their truck. With the truck loaded, the woman hopped into the cab, stuck in the key and turned it on.

Meanwhile, the man was taking handfuls of soil and putting out the fire. The man turned around to go to the truck and screamed. The woman jumped out of the truck to go see what had happened. When she came upon his body, she was horrified at what she saw. His head, it was torn from his neck yet still attached to the spinal cord. The man’s chest had been gouged and his heart removed. His abdominal area was shredded and his intestines were wrapped around his legs. The woman screamed in utter terror.

I like this :) although, it seems too rushed in some places. personally, I would have shared a little more detail/insight into the first lovers and the \”being from the water\”. Also, a little more expansion on the lovers at the truck and how the man is killed, otherwise this is an exciting piece, it kept me captivated and I wished there had been more :)
