The following christmas: It was a rather eventful year for Pia and her parents. Pia started school and her sister was born just two weeks earlier. ´Pia. Can you go and play outside in the snow? So I can decorate the christmas tree.´ ´But mummy. I want to help.´ ´No Pia. You are still too small. I do not want you to hurt yourself.´ ´Hmmmm. Okay mummy.´ ´Good girl.´ Pia takes her sledge and goes outside. Pias family lives in a big house with a large garden so Pias parents know she can play outside by herself and still be safe on her own.

Pias sister starts crying. ´Hun? Can you go and change her diaper so i can do the tree?´ Pias dad was reading the newspaper so he puts down the papers and goes to check on Pias sister. Once that task is done he goes to help his wife with the tree. ´Mummy?´ ´Yes Pia?´ ´Can i have a hot chocolate?´ ´But Pia. What about the tree?´ Pias dad replies: ´That is fine darling. I will finish the tree. You go and get Pia her milk.´ ´Ok. Thanks hun.´

Two hours later: Pia had her milk and is now munching away on some cookies. Pias mum baked the cookies that morning. Pias parents admire the christmas tree. The tree is standing in the middle of the room and is decorated with all the usual decorations. Pias dad looks at his youngest daughter. She is lying in her cot right next to the tree and Pias dad thinks: ´What a great year this was. I hope next year will be just as nice.´
