My first time living in an apartment.
Cover of Happy Feet (Full Screen Edition)
I have never lived in an apartment type setting before. The closest that an apartment came to for me was living in the barracks when I was in Fallon, Nevada. But even still there I was rarely home because I was… out partying or sleeping in my car outside of the bar (yea that’s what happens when you turn 21 in a state that serves alcohol 24hrs a day.) So I really didn’t know what to expect when I moved into this apartment. I looked at the pictures online but I didn’t think to request a top floor or any thing special because it all just looked beautiful and it is beautiful. Aesthetically it is one of the most beautiful apartments I’ve ever seen. Waterfalls, ponds, rivers, fields of crisp green grass makes it truly stand out. However coma, I have neighbors that live above me that are angry with the floor for some reason. I did not notice them the entire first week I was here but I came home Monday after working hard all day but still motivated by everything and what do I hear? Construction? No! My neighbors upstairs preparing for a track meet! So dear Happy Feet above me, please be quite! I don’t want to be that cat lady that bangs on the roof with a broom stick, but I will.
Then I was thinking that maybe I shouldn’t be that upset. Maybe the floor/roof is just that thin and even I the “light walker” would sound like I was tearing the roof off. I don’t know, I just don’t know, I’ve never lived in this kind of environment before. Then I started to think that this is karma for all those times I have been to my friend’s and ex wife’s apartment and just been very disrespectfully load at times. Sometimes drunk, sometimes just going about my day to day and someone complain about how load I was being physically. So once again to the small tribe that lives above me… I forgive you, this time, but don’t get crazy and abuse it!
To be continued…
