True Story.
He arrived at his school and came out with the happiest face ever. He has never been happier in his whole life. Class did not even seem interesting anymore, he could not stop smiling nor stop thinking about Thamires. He was in such a good mood he even bought food for his friends and gave candy to the teachers. The reason for that is because he has got a date tonight at 19 o’clock. The bell rang and the students disappeared from their desks. Caio quickly ran towards the bus station and waited anxiously there letting two busses pass by while he was looking for the girl. She sadly did not come today.
It was time. Caio was dressed well and smelled like a thousand flowers with French perfume that was a gift from a friend of his mother. He went over to her house and picked her up. Bringing her over to one of the richest restaurants in the city, he continued today’s conversation. In the restaurant, he ordered the best and most expensive set and gave a tip to the waiter. After the meal, he asks her to become his girlfriend, with the reply he was anxiously waiting for, he got the one that made his heart expload. Caio from now on has a girlfriend. Weeks after the date, he decides to invite her home. Now that he knows her well enough and believes his mother would be impressed with his girlfriend.
Caio’s mother answers the door with a loud and mad voice asking who that girl was. His reply was sincere and honest “She is my girlfriend”. His mother could not believe it was real; she kept closing her eyes to make sure she was not dreaming. After regaining control of herself, she begins to yell at Thamires scaring her away and making her walk towards the bus station. Confused Caio asks his mother with a loud voice “What was that for, why would you do that?!” His mother replied that Thamires was a girl that cussed at her when she accidently stepped on her foot and does not want Caio to go out with her. Caio engraged slams the door shut and runs towards the bus station.
Caio catches up to Thamires and explains everything to her but she has some trouble understanding. She begins to believe it was a joke and all he did was just to make fun of her or to see if he was able to make a girl like her to fall in love with a boy like him. Angered with what Caio was saying, Thamires slapped him on his left cheek and runs towards the bus with tears falling down to the ground. Caio was heartbroken; he could not speak nor move. He tried chasing after her but he could not, it was as if something was holding his legs and arms together. His mind was going crazy with all these thoughts that did not make any sense. A tear shredded down his cheek followed by more while he slowly makes his way back home towards his hated mother.
Thamires is in the bus crying and blaming herself. How could she have fallen for that? How could she have loved a boy that would do that to her? Are all the boys like that? What did she do to deserve this? She spent the rest of the night crying.
When Caio got home he would not say a word, his mother asked him questions about everything but he had no answer to any of them. Caio went straight to his room and slammed his door shut with a “Click” sound locking his door.
From then on Caio and Thamires took different school buses and never met again. Although they both thought of each other every day, imagining how it would have been if it worked out. Caio would think about the words he had said when he chased Thamires, if he had explained better would the situation be different.? WOuld she have believed him? Or was it fate that made THamires not believe him whatsoever? He tried his best not to lose the love of his life and she did not even notice it. He searched for her trying to give her a better explanation but she was nowhere to be found. If only she could have known the way he really did feel about her and how he did try his best to get her to understand maybe things would have been better. Caio then figured out: Love sometimes does not work out and mothers can ruin everything. From then on Caio hated his mother.
