Please join me on my journey with a twist.

Here we are a beautiful sunny Sunday again the only day that my partner does not work, therefore the only whole day we had to spend together. We had decided that instead of travelling abroad or even to our neighbouring countries IE Scotland, Ireland or England we would explore all the beautiful places right here in Wales. That is what we were going to do today.

The night before Dai had suggested going to Beddgelert . “We need to go and visit Alun , so why not make that our first journey?” he’d suggested. Beddgelert was up in North Wales and was a place of  great historical value .

Dai always says that I am so easy to please and I suppose I am!! After being married to a bully for 26 years who had me well and truly tied to the kitchen sink why would I be anything else with Dai my partner of five years,  who is also my soul mate. This is me waffling again, my favourite pastime I may add!!! Anyway back to the present and the subject of Alun. There are many people who say they’re our friends but how many are the true friends? Not many but Alun was to the very core!

“There we are then ,” I reply “Beddgelert it is!”

Because it was such a beautiful day we decided to go on the bike , a Honda Blackbird and Dai’s pride and joy!!!

Because it was such a beautiful day we decided to go on the bike , a Honda Blackbird and Dai’s pride and joy!!!

Dai’s Honda CBR1000 Super Blackbird.

There is nothing quite like riding pillion on a motor bike to blow those cobwebs away!! I hadn’t been on a motorbike for about 30 years until I met Dai but as with a lot of things you never forget and those 30 years were very soon forgotten. Inside an hour we were ready and away we went  gliding  through the beautiful welsh countryside.magical presence of our welsh countryside!!

The Magical Welsh Countryside

No matter how many times we travel or where we go I know that I will always be proud and bewitched of the magical presence of our welsh countryside!!

Wow, what an enjoyable reading. My heart goes out to Gelert. You have created different feels for the story with different amounts of narration. Looking forward to your next journey.

A lovely looking bike and glorious countryside, so different from the Aussie plains where I live.
