There once was a bear who parents was a rabbit and a rat. It is truly an odd combination so let me tell you how it happened.
It all started while a rabbit was searching for food under a steep cliff. While it was searching and eating the grass, a big brown ball of fur fell right in front of her. It caught her by surprise and caused her to jump almost one foot and started to run away. However, curiosity got better of her and she went back to see what it was. It turned out to be a baby bear. It had fallen off the cliff and was injured.
Up on the cliff, the mother bear had been carry the baby to escape from a hunter but was cornered. She threw the baby off the cliff just seconds before she was shot.
The rabbit took pity of the baby bear and used some leaves to wipe away the blood from the baby’s wound. The baby bear just lay still while she did that. The rabbit then tried to push the bear to shelter but as you can imagine, it is just too heavy. She tried to get help but the only other creature that was a rat. She asked the rat to help her with the bear. Initially, the rat did not want to get involved but after the rabbit pleaded, he also took pity on the bear. The both tried to push the bear to shelter but again the bear was just too heavy.
They gave up on the idea of moving the bear but continued to nurse her wound and bring the baby food. The food the rabbit brought was rejected (since it was mostly grass and leaves) but she gladly ate what was offered by the rat – fruits.
Soon, the bear recovered and became strong enough to move but stayed with the rabbit and the rat as a family calling the rabbit, “Mama” and the rat, “Dada”.
