My one day off felt more like a weeks vacation.

Yesterday was Veteran’s Day, I was fortunate to have the day off.  I woke up to the sound of rain pounding against the patio doors, outside consisted of the 3 d’s; dreary, dark and damp, but inside was like paradise.  I was warm and safely tucked under the covers next to my adorable husband.  The majority of the morning I spent snuggled up with my significant other, that was until  he proceeded down stairs to the kitchen and began to prepare a fabulous breakfast.   I felt like a queen, as the tray was placed in front of me; there was fresh strawberries, buttermilk pancakes, crisp bacon and a tall glass of orange juice.  As I devoured each tasty morsel,  I felt like I was in paradise, my meal was fulfilling, and I was so content.

After completing our meal we; snuggled and embraced one another, and eventually drifted off into a peaceful sleep.  We napped for what seemed like hours and woke up well rested.  When my husband got up to prepare dinner I decided to watch some television.  I spent the later part of the day watching NCIS as it proceeded to rain outdoors. When I got out of the bed, I  took a quick peak outside and it looked like “Monsoon Season”, right here in North Carolina.  I was so grateful that I had the day off and was able to spent a nice peaceful day at home.  About 8:00 my husband had finished preparing dinner, so I went down stairs to the dinning room to eat.  We ate steamed vegetables and fresh flounder, a really quick but satisfying meal.  At approximately 10:00 I turned in for the night, and this ended my one day in paradise.
