There are people who like to sit around the table smoking a cigarette (by the way, smoking harms) and reading the future in cards or staring at the strange figures on the bottom of the coffee cup when it is empty. There are people who like thrillers. They like scrying, which is focusing on a crystal ball or a mirror “reading” the images you see. Most people do it during a night time. They put some burning candles around the mirror, and peer into the glass all night long. And there should not be a living creature in the room. That is scary! Especially, if you do it wrong. If you are not prepared and just stare into a ball or a mirror I doubt that you will ever see anything there, apart from your own scared eyes or smoke of the burning candle.

I don’t deny the existence of witches or professional fortune tellers. They are specially trained to do that job and they have a gift of seeing the future, although some of them not always read it correctly. But if you decide to play the role of a witch you’d better remember that you shouldn’t tell fortunes for yourself every day as you might be well addicted to it. Wait, the events predicted yesterday did not come true yet. But you are shuffling your cards to see the King or the Queen of your life, and drinking coffee again (there is caffeine in it, it is not good for your health!), peering into the signs and curls, and thinking that they mean fiancées, money, and happiness. But they do not mean anything, because you have drunk those meanings out long time ago.

Instead of guessing the future, build it yourself. If you want to reach something, set your aim. Make a plan for a week, a month or a year. Write down all possible steps you need to do for getting closer to your Wonderland. You should not just look at these steps, but take one after another, and note whether you succeed or fail. Forget about the guessing and telling the fortune, those are really just wasting of your time. Remember, the time used for telling fortunes can be effectively used for the creation of your future.

I have spent a lot of time telling fortunes for myself and my friends when I was very young, and suddenly, I found out that my dreams stopped coming true, in spite of the fact that they were clearly seen at the bottom of my coffee cup and in cards. Why? Because I hadn’t done anything to reach my own aims.

One fine morning I woke up with a feeling that I had wasted my precious time. I felt I had to do something to catch it. I therefore threw the cards out, gave away coffee, and made a plan for a year.

I took a piece of paper and I divided it into four parts. It looked like that:

Aims

Steps

Date

Comments

Opposite each step I wrote down the approximate date of execution, and marked if the step was done that very day or not. The point here is that you have to do something to achieve your goals in life. Write your own time-schedule, plan of battle, secret ideas of concurring all-embracing love of bad luck and start this battle without hesitation at once.

Forget your love of guessing and telling fortunes, and built your own life in reality. You may think that it is easier to say then to accomplish. I have another opinion. If you sit and wait for your dream to come true, it will never become a reality. To obtain good results, to achieve yours aims and to make your dreams come true you have to know exactly what you want and you have to work hard on it. And, for your own sake, stop telling fortunes.

Right on. It does help to see that dreams we aspire to already exist in the many possibilities of the future.
