Likewise the beliefs of not anymore going out at night after 6pm, cause there are some kind of bad spirits(elemental bodies) that are roaming around.The very best thing I want in our belief  is not taking a bath during Fridays and Wednesdays because that is the  time when the  witches are active and you could be curse out with their spell. Oh! I like it most ; really I hate  taking a bath early in the morning. My mother wake up us 5 o’clock in the morning and already guide us to take a bath, the water was so fresh and a bit cold, I don’t like it, I cough when I am cold.

         It changed  later when we lived in Makati wherein almost the whole night was a daytime for us. My Father was at that time a taxi driver, during midnight  they let us guard the taxi so he can have a snap at home. We were renting that time in a very small room in Makati  and  the sleeping time was shifting ,ha ha ! our life was a bit of fun, I  and my sister sleep in the morning because we guard the taxi at night and they are sleeping, besides, the room was too small for us all to accommodate , and it takes for 5 years in that kind of situation. But mother in some  other  things did not change her belief  like sewing clothes at night , cutting fingernails, and singing while cooking.

         Whew!!! all hiding to my mother when doing those things at night,later when someone offer mother for a contract to sew ladies wear for shopping malls, and  because it was a contract , she was thinking the time was so limited so she make the night- a day, we were just watching her while helping.

     Well I guess mother came to realize that sewing at night isn’t really that bad, instead you can earn additional income for the family. For now we all can do whatever we want and those beliefs was only in our mind, if you believe then that’s more possibly to happen.
