It’s all about the memories.

You might be wondering what is punta bulata or where is it? Punta Bulata is located in Barangay Elihan, Cauayan Municipality, Negros Occidental, Philippines, bordering Sipalay City. It is 158 km. south
of Bacolod City. Getting to the resort by car takes approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours. There are several road signs by the highway that will
guide you there. From the city center (Provincial Capitol Building) of Bacolod, travel southwards, taking the national highway. A few meters
after the 154 km. marker by the road, make a right turn into a side road. Travel 4 km. down this road until you reach Punta Bulata Resort.

Here is the short information about this resort and the location,
Anyway, here is the history of the place i’ve mentioned, Punta bulata beach resort was known as “balaring” back 1920’s if i’m not wrong. My father ancestors was the first owner of that land, that is quiet big for almost 10 hectars but they sold the some part of the land. and just left 3.4 hectares as I remember. and the land goes to my father. This place was very peaceful, and scenic view,a beautiful sunset and white sand. This beach we used to live for almost half of our life, Here we make our living, grew our childhood days, this place is the part of our life, from my father down to my youngest brother. I still remember how much happy all the person living here, person from the mountain passed by in this beach just to get some relaxation from fishing,or tiredness from their daily life. many mountaineers or poor family came here to gather their foods to feed their kids, this beach is source of our daily foods and daily needs. Holidays is the best to remember, lots of people bring their foods, bring their family just to enjoy the beauty of this beach, there were no toll gates and fee, they can used the beach for free. we enjoyed watching those people who are happy spending their time with us, My father always protect the sea not to touch the small fishes don’t used dynamite, or else you will not able to come again.

In this place my siblings grew up, before there were no cars, we used to walked from the main roads come to our home. there are no play ground there is nothing at all, this beach is only a beach. this is a coconut farm we used for our living too. Our parents happily watched their  kids who enjoyed to played with their friends, I can say, that time was our happiest moments with the beach we call balaring, I thought we will live there until we getting older, but that was only a dream. Back 1995 my father have tuberculosis illness, and we need money for his medication and our eldest sister was college students who near to graduate,we don’t have any choice. One day, Zayco and Lopez family came to our place, they are very interested about that beach, my father really don’t have any plan to sell that, but due to health and financial problem. zayco family promising us if we sell our land to them my parents and and siblings with the rest of our family can work regular to their business, promising to help us if we needed, My parents was thinking about their  children’s  future and the financial problem, my father sold it,in a very cheap amount, just 190thousand peso that’s 3000 dollar only, it was painful to think because they know we are in very difficult situation and we really need some money. so they owned, they developed after a year this beach was become famous. lots of foreigner come to visit this beach they called Punta bulata beach resort. But we are  not that stupid to ask help from them, we study hard to have our own life, not to ask to that kind of person. The most painful is even we are the x owner we can’t able to enter easily. we even can’t received any discount if we don’t ask to the main office. we seldom come to that place and good memories change into bad memories.

It’s still a wonderful feeling to have memories of a certain place and event whether good, sad or painful. It’s part of our lives where we learn many things from it. Thanks for sharing these memories.

Memories are meant to be remembered either good or bad. You’re homesick I know, ’cause I knew how it feels to be an OFW. A personal piece that comes from your heart!

Thorough account of some tough-sounding times.

Tip: Always leave a space after each comma, and do this Consistently.

Another tip: **food” is usually singular. It is only plural in: **We tried lots of different foods today**.
