Sometimes it seems like life is not fair, like everything is going down, but all you have to do is look for opportunities, they’re always there, you just have to see them.
After a week of been unemployed, without any degree more than some years in a bank, fired for trying steal money, it was hard to been hired. In front of the necessity of the money, I remembered what I learned in the checks section of the bank, and started to fake checks from companies, from people, even from me.
“It’s just temporal” I thought, “until I get a job” I used to repeat myself everyday. But no one wanted to hire me and my checks were getting better and better. After 1 year of faking checks I was living on a luxury department, with a luxury car, and a lot of designer’s clothes. But the police was already looking for me.

Of course I used fake names, but it wasn’t enough so I had to leave. I went to Los Angeles at the age of 33 years-old. The police appeared again after I start rolling these fake checks again. After 6 months they started to suspect of me, so I leaved to Chicago.
I waited a whole year to start making these checks again, but they caught me 3 months later.

They sentenced me 15 years of jail, the worst 15 years of my life…

Today I’m a 57-years-old man, I work in a finances company in Manhattan, where I started, I’m a business man, something that is hard after you are released from jail. But I learned my lesson, now I only roll fake checks on weekends.
