Do you crave a story full of adventure, romance, and humor? Are you looking for a research paper on a molecule or tumor? If that is the case, then you’d better put this down, for this is the story of an event that is sure to make you frown.
In the village of Ferry Tails, all of the children loved to play. Boys skipped rocks, and girls skipped rope, while their parents bundled hay. But one did not belong in this group of skipping girls. For she, with a head full of rose-like hair, had the name of Pinkicurlz.
Before you ask, “What’s so strange about red hair?” let me explain to you what made her hair so rare. When I say “rose-like” I do not mean it was the color of a red rose. No, this girl’s hair was pink, just like Santa’s nose. Now let me tell you this. If you’ve got pink hair in a town of black-haired people, you’re going to be hard to miss.
The children teased Pinkicurlz to no end. Although socks with holes can be darned, feelings are hard to mend. So with tears in her eyes, Pinkicurlz ran off into the woods. But unlike most forest-faring children, she brought no basket of goods.
After wandering around for an hour or two, Pinkicurlz came upon something that made her a little less blue. In the middle of the forest sat a cabin, neatly trimmed. Upon seeing the clean-cut lawn and the whitewashed walls, her hopefulness, it brimmed.
With a slightly cautious gait, Pinkicurlz walked up to the door. She peeked inside, looked around, and decided to scan it just a liiittle more. Walking inside, the aroma of something tasty hit her hard. After investigating the source of this scent, Pinkicurlz realized it was her favorite dish, deep-fried batter-dipped lard. Without sitting down (out of fear that a chair might break), she wolfed down the entire meal. She didn’t even leave a crumb for the mouse to take!
