A short story I had to write about in English. It had to be something that was non-fiction, at school and could be something that happened to you-in this case it did. My english teacher(Mr confuse-Himself) gave me a C- what would you?

Today was a perfect school day. I came to school the same time as any other day. I was in the middle of Grade 6 and in the middle of total boredom. My class went through the daily routines, two subjects then break then another two subjects and now I was sitting in class waiting for the clock to get to half past twelve. I watched it tick past one more minute. The minute hand was like a tiger slowly and cautiously creeping up on to its prey.

At last, I was free from that brain exhausting lesson. I think my brain would have melted if I had stayed there any longer. Next was… Yes! Lunch break. Now I could have fun and forget about all the sums Mr Confuse-Himself was trying to squeeze into my head. This lunch break was going to be a heaven in itself.

This break was the same as any other break eat lunch THEN release all the energy that could not be released in the stuffy classrooms by playing soccer. There were different types of players in our soccer game,” Game for the hooligans “. There were the attackers, who were quite mean and aggressive players. Then you had the defenders, one of them being me and then you had the random guys who were there just to have fun. One of them was the Baker-Boy. When he got the ball he would just fling his foot somewhere near it hoping he would kick it to Mars.

So I quickly gobbled down my lunch as if I was in a pie eating contest and went out to join the “Game for Hooligans”. I was having a great time running here, running there, stopping a goal here and at the same time skilfully getting the ball away from the attackers. Everything was going my way.

I had just expertly blocked a goal from one of the attackers taking the ball away from him. There were some attackers in my way I tried to get away from the attackers, running, dodging, dribbling the ball past everyone. I was at that moment thinking, ”Wow! I could become a soccer champion. I could play for Manchester United and become the greatest soccer player in the world. I would travel the world meeting my beloved fans and meet other football stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. I could become a hero… In the middle of my wonderful dream I heard shrieks of laughter.
