Tommy makes a big decision that will effect his future.

Mark Newmar, Clive Mauer, and Lance Flame hired a man to film our performances that night. We weren’t going to sell it or put it on television; we were going to keep the film and watch it ourselves and see how we can improve our talents.

While I was dancing on stage knowing that a camera was in front of me made me more nervous than performing in front of people. Piper Warner, Crystal Cummings, Stephanie Jones, Eve Roman, and E.M. Hall were really enjoying being in front of the camera. They were watching the camera the whole time and were smiling.

California Barnes and Piper sang their duet. Piper threw out several fake smiles. She also flipped her blond hair back a lot. That girl was nine year old girl acting like a fourteen year old girl. Cali was minding her own business and was singing her own parts. She tried her best to ignore Piper. Cali would slither two feet away from her every time Piper came close to her. It was funny.

Gabe Diamond and I sang Gabe’s song, “Memories of Life”. He stood on stage with his guitar, and started singing. I was right behind him. The song was a folk ballad. I really enjoyed singing with him. Since we started the Playhouse, I have admired Gabe. He was my hero. I would do almost anything for him. I thought he would do the same for me. He kept calling me his favorite girl… The cameraman also moved his camera from side to side to get shots of Gabe and me taking our turns singing. The shots helped us a lot, so we could watch ourselves real well.

All of us were happy with the results that we watch on film, except Tommy Patterson. He felt he was being ignored by the members of the Playhouse. He frowned the whole time while watching the film. Tommy didn’t sing any songs, and only had short skits to perform. That poor man knew he had to do something to get himself recognized.

Tommy Patterson called for a meeting with Mark Newmar, Clive Mauer, and Lance Flame. He wanted to demand some of his own time on the stage to show off his talents. All of the four men attended the meeting including Danny Jamison and Gabe Diamond. Tommy walked up to Mark, “You have to let me write some songs, man.”
