Patrick Maloney a police officer was murdered Thursday April 20th around 6:00pm at his home by a severe blow to the head.

Patrick Maloney and his wife were supposed to go out for dinner, but because Patrick was tired they decided not to go. As they were going to eat home Mrs Maloney needed to get vegetables.

She went to the corner store to get vegetables, but when she came back she found Mr Maloney lying on the floor dead and the living room ransacked.

She called the police immediately. The police examined the crime scene and told the press that “We suspect that a person came inside the house without attracting attention from Mr Maloney and using a large steel or wooden object struck Mr Maloney on the head. There were no signs of struggle and it appears Mr. Maloney near knew what hit him”

The police searched the whole house and the surrounding areas to no avail. So far the police have no leads and the murder weapon has not yet been found.

Mr Maloney’s death has left people upset and asking for answers. His friends on the police force miss him dearly. His friend Jack said “Mr Maloney was a great officer and a great person”.

Mr. Maloney also leaves behind a pregnant wife. She was very shocked because of the incident and was unable to comment.
