“Hey, what are you doing on Saturday?” Cassie shrugged her shoulders.

“Nothing I guess. Why?” Cassie asked looking at her two best friends Marly and June.  All three of them were walking down the English corridor of their school towards their home room.  They had just finished school for the day and were going to their class to get their bags and books from their lockers. It was already quarter to 4 so there weren’t a lot of other kids around as they walked down the hall.

“We want to go watch the new Twilight movie: Eclipse! It’s got Taylor Lautner in it!” June squealed at the end of the sentence.

“Oh you dragged me to watch the other two movies and they were just…so…awful!” Cassie moaned.

“Yeah but who cares when you can see Taylor without his shirt on!” Marly drooled.

“Oh yuck. Come on why don’t we go bowling instead. It’s much more fun then…” Cassie stopped talking.  Walking down the other way were two big girls who always gave Cassie a tough time at school.  In fact Marly became friends with Cassie because she had stood up to them when they had once pushed Cassie around.  June had been Cassie’s friend since infant, junior and now secondary school.

They all looked at the two girls. The one on the right was Daisy and the one of the left was Lorena. They were all 15 years old, but tall for their age.  Daisy was 5 foot 8 and Lorena was 5 foot 7.  Marly and June were a few inches shorter then them while Cassie was the smallest at 5 foot 4 and it was because she looked small and frail that Daisy and Lorena thought they could bully her.

They were both laughing at something as they walked down, Lorena looked up and saw all three of them. She nudged Daisy and they both laughed again.

“Just keep walking past them.” June whispered to Cass.  It would have worked if the two girls didn’t look as though they were taking up all the space in the hallway.  As they got nearer to one another it started.
