As I begin, I would like to share a story to introduce the topic to you.  There was a 16- year old girl who was very active in school and also a scholar.  She belongs to a theatrical group of their school so they are having trainings everyday but how can she maintain her high grades to become a scholar?  It seems that she has no time for studying anymore but it goes this way; whenever they have breaktime in trainings and practices, she has this small notebook in which she has all the lessons to study for her subjects.  Instead of grabbing a phone in their breaktime, she used to have this in her hand.  She limits herself to attend training for just several hours and she goes home immediately.  She is not forgetting her responsibility as a scholar and as a theater actress.  She plans everything so neatly.

            Prioritizing—it is about ranking or giving right attention to something that is more important over the less.  As what the girl in the story did, even though she stays busy having trainings to develop her skills she never forgets her priority in life which is her studies.

            For us to have priorities, we must first set goals for and to ourselves.  These goals can be your motivation to prioritize things such as studies, families, or career.  These goals will remind you to do what is right upon the priorities that you have settled. These will merely tell you, ‘Hey! You must do me first!’ Moreover, they serve as guidance for you to plan in a detailed manner.

            Having priorities and setting goals in life can be compared in designing a gown or a dress.  A designer sketches first his idea of a gown.  This design must be aesthetic enough for him to be successful as a designer.  The design must benefit him and his customers more.  After making up with his idea and having the sketch of it, he’ll probably avail materials for it to be possible.  For sure, he won’t get materials that are in less quality moreover he will search for the best quality.  Just like in life, we should always be in our best neither the fair nor the least of us in our main concerns.  After having the best materials for his design, he will surely work hard to come up with the best gown.  For the gown to be done and be best, he should know which cloth or layer must come first and of course the final touches of it.  Just like running our lives, we should know what must come first, second and last to be able to provoke our inspiring goals and dreams.

            No horse gets anywhere until he is harnessed— no life ever grows great until it is focused, dedicated, motivated, and disciplined.
