As the Red army moves foward into Berlin, a small group of five Russians get traped in the Nazi command center and are waiting for reinforcement to arrive and help them. the Nazis have Panzershreck tanks and Panzers surrounding the building so escape is nearly impossible.
“Everybody get down NOW,” exclaimed commander Dennis Akitof. As panzer tanks fired on to the walls of the command center. it was late august and the forces of the Red army have already peirced the heart of Berlin, and where trying to capture the German capital. As the bullets roared and tore up what was left of the Nazi command center, Commander Dennis Akitof, Lt. Alex Davis, Grenader: Belikof, Sniper: Helena Crecoff , and Support gunman: Nikolie Jones. “Grenade” cried Lt. Davis. As the Nazis moved in to the building, the soviets had no other choice but to try and hold out till reinforcements arrived. “where the hell are they” asked Nikolie. ” we need to singnal them with flares! Helena, cover Belikof and Belikof get your ass up there and light that flare! Make sure to use the green flare!” as Belikof sprinted to the roof top, there where dozens of Nazis waiting for them on the roof,as if they knew there every move. Nikolie when to assist Belikof and Helena, leaving Akitof and davis to fight off the oncoming Nazis. They both knew that they were just wasting ammo, because there are just too many Nazis. “We have to keep moving, Davis. Get to that roof top now, commrade”,said Akitof. as they ran to join the others, they relized that niolie was blazing bullets along with Belikof. Helena was nowere to be seen. “where the hell is Helena”, Davis shouted. “She went to set the flare! Come on! We have to keep moving!!” as the squad reached the roof, there where dead Nazis everywhere. The sky was a deep blueish color because the sun was rising. there was snow every where and the cold could kill anyone without a jacket. it was freezing, and there she was. Helena. Her eyes were as blue as the snow itself. Her lifeless body stood at the foot of two Nazi SS soliders. One of the soliders was cougfing up blood and his face appered to have been shot clean off. The other SS trooper, he looked as if he were about 16 years of age. he had droped his rifle and was crying next to the body of what appered to be his father. the commander, taking pity for the boy, spared his life, and gave him a rifle. “Whats your name, boy” asked Dennis calmly. As if all time has paused around them, the boy who had a scar on his face near his left eye, replyed “Jack.” Akitof asked him who was that person who he was crying for. the boy, with a harsh, cold voice said,” my father. he had no choice but to join the Nazi army or they would have killed mother. they compeled me to join soon after”. Davis, was devistated. seeing the cold lifeless body of his wife, Helena, but was also suprised tosee how many fashist she killed before they killed her. “Its okay, she did her job. She set flare and shes in a better place.” said Belikof. He was devistated. Commander Akitof gave his pistol to the boy, then picked up his rifle, and told Davis to get Helenas dog tags and leave. The squad and the boy headed toward the other side of the roof. As they peered over the parapet of the roof, they saw the nazis, armed to the bone, speak through a speaker phone. “We will not harm you. Give up and drop your wepons, then report to the nearest Nazi officer or we will open fi”. a bullet rang past Akitofs ear. Davis had Helenas Sniper and he had shot the Nazi officer with the speaker phone. the tanks and nazis shot at the russians and snipers were shooting too. “commander, i… Shit! they got belikof! man down man down! A sniper had shot a bullet right between belikofs eyes. he was dead before he hit the ground. the boy, or Jack, had picked up Belikofs grenade launcher and had fired opon one tank, blowing it to bits. “Hell of a shot there, comrade!” complimented Nikolie. Thats the first word he said since Helenas death. “Look! In the distance! reinforcements,” said Davis. It too was the first word he said since Helenas death. in the distance, where hundreds of soviet renforcements, followed by tanks and planes. in the radio near the boys dead father, the news was out. russia has conqured berlin! we have won the war! everyone but Davis was celebrating. his wife had died. he was dead inside. the boy, went to davis. ” your not the only one who lost. i lost my father and both my brothers. all thats left is me and my mom. lets go find your mom, boy.”, repied Davis. “Its over! we can all go home.”, said Akitof with joy. On this day, even the dead russians smiled.
