The ragpicker didn’t have enough money to treat her sick kid which led to death.

There was a lady who used to beg for a living. her two year old daughter was sick and she didn’t have enough money to treat her. She begged hard but it was vain. She didn’t know that the government hospitals would treat her baby for free. She watched her baby while she suffered and died one day.

With her grief, she went around begging so that she can get enough to do her child’s cremation. But as usual, nobody cared enough. she waited for a few hours and later dropped her daughter into the dustbin. She was not aware that the government also provides free cremation services. She would have got Rs600 to do the cremation of her daughter.

The bin cleaners were shocked to find the baby and called the police. the police had enquired and filed a complaint against the parents. After the postportem reports, further action will be taken.

While the government takes action which can benefit the poor, i think there should be equal amount of awareness generated too. Imagine the plight of the mother when she would have realised that there was a chance for her to save her daughter’s life? A guilt which she has to face all her life.

I would like to request all of you, to spare atleast a few pennies to the needy.

Definitely we must help the needy person. Very painful incident.

That is a sad story. I usually don’t mind giving a dollar to someone who asks me on the street because he or she is not hittting for the head for it, just asking. If I don’t have it they just ask someone else. So I carry a buck or two with me for that kind of deseving person.
