When it rains, embarrassment just pours.

Talk about bad luck! It was a really windy day, there was a typhoon, but since we’re in college, our classes were not suspended. Since I commute going to school, I always bring my trusty umbrella. Lucky for me, it wasn’t raining that much but the gusts of wind were very strong. As I was making my way along the sidewalk, the wind caught my umbrella frame, and turned it inside out. Then the wind started dragging me to the middle of the road. I was terrified because I didn’t know whether to let go of the umbrella, or to hold on to it.  I was really panicking and wobbly, to afraid to do anything. A man walking nearby grabbed me to stop me from being pulled by my umbrella onto the path of the passing cars. He then helped me close my broken umbrella. That was so humiliating.

I always find umbrellas are more trouble than they are worth. When walking with a lady, who is shorter, she is either poking my eye out, or dripping all over me. If it was you I would hand you my raincoat.
