It was a beautiful September afternoon roaming through the grounds of the Daheim estate in Millbrook, NY; enjoying my usual routine of snapping photos and looking for Blue Heron on the lake, a stone’s throw away from the Big House. Passing through the west side entrance, I always made a point to take at least one or two snapshots of Dietrich’s main milieu. The Big House is always quite an intriguing sight, as Dietrich was the original landowner of Daheim. Local folklore has deemed this to be a haunted house.

 When I developed the snapshots, I noticed what looked to be two human like figures in the center window on the plafond of the front veranda. Possible paranormal activity? Possibly ghosts?

   Recently, a lot of travellers have been experiencing paranormal activity here on Daheim in the form of ghosts  within this haunted house. Millbrook and Daheim are no strangers to paranormal activity or haunted houses on the grounds here. Ghost sightings and other strange paranormal activity have been well documented here on the grounds at Daheim. In the mid 8o’s, our covert experimental psychedelic council, “The Infra-Red Social Commandos”, conducted a series of experiments. Our council witnessed a series of events that could only be characterized as paranormal activity.

 Could these be ghosts I caught on film within the Big House on Daheim? I will display several more variations until you can see what I observe to be two ghosts peering out at me with entitled curiosity. 

 Unfortunately at that point in time, much of the architecture on Dietrich’s Daheim estate in Millbrook had been abandoned to near blight. A perfect setting for ghosts and paranormal activity.

This exposure clearly shows some human or ghost figures. I know for a fact that no one was residing here at the Big House at this time. For me and our psychedelic council, it was definitely ghosts and paranormal activity. Who doesn’t love a true ghost story especially caught on film as paranormal activity?

As a closeup, I see an older women in Victorian dress looking over the shoulder of her companion who seems to be taking an interest in my lens. Possibly Charles Dietrich himself as a ghost wandering through his Big House in Millbrook, NY, manifesting into this true ghost story. 

Perhaps it is indeed Charles F. Dietrich and his wife.
