This is the beginning of a book I am working on about a woman who has premonition dreams about events that really do take place. She is not present at these events.
CHAPTER 1
On the way home, on the bus, suddenly there were lots of sirens wailing loudly. Two fire trucks passed us.
Two streets later, all of us on the bus saw a house completely engulfed in flames. Fire was leaping high out
the back windows. Smoke billowed into the sky all around the house, covering the stret as if a volcano had
exploded. It was so black and thick, no one could see down the street. Everyone on the bus made gasping
sounds as the reality of the situation hit each person. The driver had the nerve to say: ” Oh no! Don’t
block off the street!” Honestly if that was his house, I’m sure he would want it blocked off! The rudeness of
his statements baffled me. That’s a selfish man, I thought. He was only thinking of himself and his bus route.
Immediatly I started praying for the firefighters safety, and that the fire wouldn’t spread. When I arrived
home, I called others to pray as well.
WOW! Was that a dream, or did it really happen? I wondered. Being aroused from sleep, it had all
seemed so very real. later, while watching the evening news at 6:00pm, I saw on TV everything just as it was
in my dream. I started freaking out! The reason was, it was my day off! That’s the only day I don’t take the
bus! In fact, that day I stayed home and worked on arts and crafts for gifts for my family. Hopefully,
premonition dreams will not become a regular thing with me! What if they do? That’s a scary thought! Whew!
Get a grip, Ginger! It was a one time thing, and it won’t happen again! I tried to convince myself.
