A sad reflection of the long strike in Nigeria.

It was just like a dream, but I later realized that it was true, for the first time in the ugly and beautiful history of Nigeria, millions of Nigerians both old and young,Christians and muslim came together to fight against the government of the day….it all started like a sweet slap on the first day of January 2012 when the president and commander in chief of the arms forces of Nigeria in person of Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan gave Nigerians an unwanted new year gift,it was an announcement by a governing body called the petroleum product pricing regulatory agency that the subsidy on premium motor spirit has been removed…..the news was so unfriendly and unpopular to the people,so like an angry lion they roared….it came like death,it came like a thief,it came when a sect group called Boko Haram was making Nigeria a bombing ground,so people cried, far in the east christian brothers and sisters were stranded, because there was an angry automatic increase in prices of almost everything in Nigeria the moment filling stations increase the petrol price from N65 to N141,the tension on social network began to increase,Nigerians on facebook, twitter and bbm bomb-blasted the president with words of the mouth, later they started mobilizing awareness,an awareness that today gave an Okada rider in Nigeria some hidden information about the cost of governance in Nigeria….they were told that one billion Naira is allocated to Aso rock every year for food, that a Nigerian senator earns more than the president of united states of America,Barack Obama…..Nigerians became informed,so they decided to Occupy Nigeria,it became a slogan for every peaceful protest in Nigeria, a slogan that is more popular than the president’s campaign slogan during the election which was “fresh air” indeed,Nigerians are yet to see the fresh air, in the midst of the ugly negotiation between the federal government and the organized labour represented by both NLC and TUC,the president after colonizing the leaders of both NLC and TUC became a dictator in the eyes of the very people that voted him,to further prove his dictatorship ability he deployed the military to harass innocent, humble and armless Nigerians who where exercising section 39 and 40 of the 1999 constitution of Nigeria.Today Nigerians see NLC and TUC presidents as “Enemies of good governance” because they betrayed the struggle even after some people died during the struggle…..Nigerians will not quickly forgive them for collaborating with the government to take away the only thing Nigerians benefit from government. But everything is now in the beautiful hands of posterity…because a time will come when I will tell the unborn generation the Nigeria I met,but before then 2015 is another year of election in Nigeria and Nigerians will remember so many names and faces,as for the cabals,we now know them and we are watching them like the thief they are…in all,Nigeria now needs a sovereign national conference to correct the mistakes of the amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914.
