A short story I wrote from an online word challenge. The challenge words are in Capital letters.
“Mommy!” the little boy yelled as he ran inside the house. “There’s a big RIP in the knee of my pants. Can you SEW a patch on it?”
“Sure,” the mother replied as she grabbed her sewing kit. “Go change your pants and bring the ripped ones back to me.”
“Okay!” the boy exclaimed and quickly ran from the room.
He returned to the living room a few minute later, carrying the torn and dirty pants. After handing them to his mom, he watched as she began to carefully sew a patch on.
“I SEE you’ve been busy,” said the mother to her son. “What NEW adventure have you come up with today?”
“Today I’m a gardener!” answered the excited little boy. “I used my shovel to DIG a hole in the LOT next door.”
“Did you SOW any seeds in the hole that you DUG?’
“No, but I planted a real pretty flower. Do you want to come OUT and see it, mom? If you want you can even plant your OWN flower next to mine.”
“Sure! I’d love to see your pretty flower. Let’s go out and look at it now.”
The End.
