This is the story I submitted to Jagex for the Story Contest.

The first red arrow flew over the walls. It whisked over the the cracked granite. It flew through the souls of loyal peasants, and landed in the ribcage of a man in a green cloak. The man slowly lowered to his knees and fell. No longer did he hear the screams “Guthix!” Not usually can a god be killed by an arrow, but this was no regular arrow. Blood drew, and small glimmers of green light appeared all over the blood of Guthix. As fast as the arrow appeared, Guthix vanished. Hatred between Saradomin and Zamorak began. Two years later, the Red fortress was surrounded with blue. Saradomin, dressed in blue robes, looked to his side. There was Commander Zilyana, his champion. Saradomin cleared his throat and yelled “Zamorak! The blood of your brother, of your people, demands justice! Come forth, coward! Answer for your crimes!” The gate slowly lowered and a man in a red cloak slowly walked out. Zamorak, with a blood stained helmet, calls out “You speak of justice? Of cowardliness? I will show you the justice of the grave, and the true meaning of fear!” His army of undead slowly rose from the ground. Commander Zilyana, with a look of disgust on her face, run towards Zamorak with her sword raised and yell “Enough talk! let it be finished!” Zamorak raised his sword to parry the attack, but as soon and their swords touched Commander Zilyana’s weapon crumbled into dust. With one swift blow of the sword Zamorak gave Commander Zilyana  the same fate as her sword. Saradomin, looking astonished, yelled “You will pay for all the lives you’ve stolen, traitor!” To which Zamorak replied “Boldly stated, but there is nothing you can-” as he was interrupted by a green ray touching the ground. Suddenly, the green ray turned into Guthix himself. He stared into the eyes of Zamorak and Saradomin, Switching every few seconds. With a look of disgust, he said “Do you think I had forgotten? Do you think I had forgiven? Behold, the time of balance! Green light stretched as far as the eye could see. In the time it takes to blink, the three gods and their armies froze, encased in a shroud of green light. The loyal warriors of Saradomin not only earned a spot in history, they also earned a spot in the hearts of the citizens of Falador.
