This is a story about a little pumpkin and a boy name Sam. Sam and his Grandmother make a jack-o-lantern. Sam has a dream about his pumpkin.
Sam was very tired after making his jack-o-lantern. He went to sleep. It was a good sleep, because he dreamed about his pumpkin: The pumpkin sat on the patio table at Sam’s house. The pumpkin wished he could see Sam again. Just then, there was a very big gust of wind. It made the pumpkin move a little. “Great!”, thought the pumpkin. He might be able to roll himself off the table and around the house to see Sam. So, the pumpkin waited for the next big puff of wind, he leaned as far as he could so the wind could push him over. The pumpkin was almost to the edge of the table, he needed one more good puff of wind to roll him off the table. Get ready, get set, whoa… there he goes down to the ground. And the little pumpkin didn’t stop rolling until he was around the house and stopped at Sam’s front door.
All of a sudden, Sam sat up in his bed, he had heard the door bell rang. He knew it would be the pumpkin! Same ran down the stairs as fast as he could, he open the door. And there stood… Grandpa! Sam looked up and down and behind Grandpa. “Where is my pumpkin?”, asked Sam. Grandpa laughed and carried sleepy Sam to the patio door to see the jack-o-lantern. It was still setting on the table. Sam told Grandpa about the pumpkin rolling off the table. Grandpa laughed and told Sam that he had a dream. “What is a dream?”ask Sam. Grandpa said, “It is a story you think about when you are sleeping.” Sam smiled at Grandpa and looked at his pumpkin, “Maybe I’ll have more pumpkin dreams”, said Sam.
