The adventures of Sam the Doberman, service dog extraordinaire.

Hi, my name is Sam and I’m glad you’ve come to visit my world. Let’s share some wonderful and fun adventures together.
I started out with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. We were all kept in cages except when we were put in a small yard or allowed sometimes to play for a few moments in the house with the breeder people, that had raised us from tiny puppies. I thought my life was always going to be in a pen.
Boy, was I ever in for a surprise. Come on; let me tell you what happened.
First, I want to tell you how I came to be with my human mom and dad.
The people that became my folks visited where I was born to look at my three brothers and me. This was when I was 10 weeks old. The lady was in a long dress and the man was in a wheelchair. They came in and the lady sat down on the floor and started playing with us. My brothers were sort of pushy and over excited so I kind of stayed over to the side, a little bit, and just watched.
After a while, the man asked the lady which one of us she liked and she thought for a moment and said, “Oh, I don’t know, how about one of these three?”
When I heard that, the first thing I thought was, “Oh yeah, one of my brothers! What am I, chopped liver?”
“No,” the man said, “I think we ought to consider taking this one”, pointing at me.
“Wow, this guy is pretty smart.”
“I don’t understand. Why him?” the Lady asked.

“Well, look at him. He’s watching us very closely. He looks like a thinker to me.” The man answered.
Look at my picture here. Do you believe that he could see that by looking at this face? I mean, come on, do I look like a thinker?
We got into a big black car and drove for a long, long way before we arrived at my new home. I road in the back seat with Tara, she was a white wire-haired terrier, that didn’t seem to like me. Every time I moved too close, she growled at me and looked mean. Guess what, I didn’t move much! Remember, my new Dad said I was a thinker. Well I can sure tell you, I thought if I moved very much she was gonna nail me. It seemed like days before we got to my new home, but it was only hours.
