A condensed/short story for kids.

Pete loved the beach, and his house was right on next to it. His mother every summer let Pete run free on the beach. Pete loved seeing the birds fly into the water, and the fish jump out. He built sand castles so big they where almost as big as Pete himself.

But Pete always forgot to wash his feet before coming into the house, and ran sand all over the floors. His mom would sometimes remember he did this, but couldn’t always stop him before Pete cam into the house. This is why everyone called him Sandy Pete, because of his sandy feet.

Wondering around the beach, and swimming in the sea. Pete has so much fun. His sister would sometimes come dig a big hole, and Pete would get in, and she would cover him back up to look like he was buried. His mother would always laugh when Pete was buried, because he liked to see if he could get out, but he never could. She would show his aunties the pictures, but he liked the attention. One day Pete lost his shorts in the sea, because a big wave hit him. A dog ran away, and his mother did laugh. She was so glad the house was so close, so she could get him some more shorts.

Pete has such adventures on the beach. His cousins used to come, and they all played cricket, baseball, and so many other fun games. He did enjoy his time on the beach. Pete even leanrt to surf, ans had a sur board twice his size. He loved the big waves best, because it would allow him to ride the waves just a few second longer than the smaller waves would.

But when Autumn came, it was time to pack his surf board away in the garage. Pete always wanted summer to stay forever so he could run his feet through the sand. He did go out on the sand in Autumn though, just to walk the neighbours dog,and he still never remembered to wash his feet, and this is why his nickname was Sandy Pete, because of his sandy feet.
