This is both from the parents point of view and adults point of view…..when schools close due to weather conditions…

Don’t you feel just angry or disturbed when schools close due to weather conditions and your child’s score suffers. Don’t you just feel like going to the principal and complaining. we all agree that our child’s score will suffer but think about it this way, if something bad happened, wouldn’t you want your son/daughter near you.

As a child it is the best thing to not be burdened by homework or classwork you have been pending for quite a long while. It feels good then but later on in your life you will start to think, If i had gone to school that day, wouldn’t i have become something successful today.

We have to find a way to compromise both so my suggestion is extra classes. when weather frowns upon you, don’t send your child to school but ask the teacher to take replacement or substitution class to cope up with the time lost. This also allows the child to be unstressed and gives him more time to do his homework

so if we were to see the advantage of both sides this is something your school should do to not miss out a single important day. Also suggest the teacher in charge to make a number tree, since sometimes a child doesn’t know that school is closed and comes all the way to school and is forced to go back. When a teacher calls two people telling that school is closed, those 2 people should call other 4 people saying this. Those 4 people should go on to tell 8 other people. This enables any child to know information relayed by the teacher.

With this try to make school perfect in case of BAD WEATHER.
