A story about a girl named Becca, short for Rebecca whose addicted to shopping.

The novel starts with the main character, Rebecca, looking over her Credit Card statement in complete denile, it was obviously much bigger than she’d thought it would be. She of course didn’t relize just how much she had spend. At first she thought that perhaps her credit card had been stolen and that she was perhaps a victim of stolen identity, but as she read through her statement, she was reminded that she was in fact in debt, and it was her own doing. What makes things worse for Rebecca, is that she’s supposed to be the best fincial adivorser in town, and she can’t even manage her own finances. The manager of the bank that she was indepted to, was trying to get to her to discuss her outstanding bills, but she didn’t want to, deciding that dening the whole thing would be much better than actually facing it, and she kept on making exscuses not to meet up with him. Some of her examples include, her aunt died, her dog died, she has a serious illness, she’s broken her leg, among other things. She had her friend Suzie, relate most of the excuses to the bank when they called trying to make an appointment. Or if they send the letter in the mail, she’d pretend like she hadn’t  gotten the letter in the first place. Dispite the rocky start, and her fincial problems in the beginging of the novel, Rebecca finally manges to get her finaces back together, and she even mangages to have a meeting with the Banks manager, and she pays off her debt, but knowing Rebecca it doesn’t last too long, because once her debt is all payed off—she had to sell most of her things, in a sort of estate sell. And then after all was payed off, she goes back again to over spending on her credit card—she’d kept on applying to new credit cards, get extra money from her credit card, and of course spending more and more money, going well over her credit card limit. So the second novel ends once again, with her getting herself out of debt by selling her things. Every book, safe for the book about her preparing for her baby, and the one where she met whom she thought was her half sister and the one were she gets married to Luke, all end with her getting out of debt by way of her selling all of her things.
