Sometimes things aren’t what they seem, even at Christmas time…

She got in a fight with him today – again. The kids were there. I don’t really know what it was about. I think he answered a call from his relative. She didn’t want him to. He does it just to aggravate and it works every time. She is easy to set off though. It might have been that or it could have been something else. Whatever it was, they got into it.

I guess Christmas could only last for so long. They said that they would pretend everything was okay. I guess that could only last for so long as well. All of those presents, the smiles… now they are gone.

She got really mad. They were out, you see, and they had a fight. She decided that she didn’t want this anymore. She dropped him and the kids off then left. We don’t know when she’ll be back.

I thought that Christmas was a time to laugh and to get along. It was supposed to be about the kindness and joy. For them, I guess the presents made them happy. But even that didn’t last for very long. I wonder what will happen now?

I must say that this brought tears to my eyes, I have seen this happen far to many times, and I do hope that things work out for the best.

Christmas isn’t such a peaceful and harmonious time, especially when relatives one hasn’t seen in a while come to join in. Putting them all together it’s like a time bomb. It may blow up any minute. I do sometimes think it’s better to spend it alone and one won’t have a chance to argue, that’s fur sure. Good share!
