When it comes to relationships, investing any amount of time is less time!!
Shirish and Sonali were fighting over something that came up between them, probably their worst fight ever.
Marrying a loved one is one thing and loving a married one is another.
These two were married over a year ago but only after their parents had matched their horoscopes. Initially for both, it was the nervousness and excitement of knowing and living with an entirely new person and then it was all about trying to understand each other and making the relevant adjustments. But it was not all that easy.
Shirish was a take-it-as-it-comes kind of a guy and that was one thing Sonali hated the most in him. She had tried to get him to take things seriously but when it mattered she had found all her efforts to be in vain.
It was just last night that Sonali had asked Shirish to come home early from office the next day so that they could go to see their ailing relative at the hospital. Not only had he completely forgotten that but when Sonali had tried to reach him, she had found his cell phone to be switched off. He had called back later to say that he was in a meeting, only to get to know from an angry and agitated Sonali that their relative had passed away a few hours back.
Late that evening as they stood facing each other, they didn’t know what else to say…for anything that Shirish said; Sonali replied with a valid reason and consolidated her right to remain angry. As they were arguing on and off, Shirish’s cell phone rang.
“Can’t you switch off that damn cell phone when we are discussing something important here?” Sonali yelled.
“Call from office…Give me a minute” Shirish replied, looking at the display of the cell phone.
“A minute? Do you know the value of a minute? Do you know how many things happen within a minute? Ever given yourself a minute to think about it? – and you ask for a minute!” Sonali howled angrily as she watched Shirish walk out of the room in a take-it-as-it-comes manner, just as he always did.
