Angela Smith starts her new job at a factory as a receptionist, only to discover there is more to the job and her new employer than she realises.

Its 6 am as the alarm goes off in Angela’s room, she had a restless night tossing and turning from excitement and anticipation of the day ahead, when she starts her first job.

She looks at her best clothes, hanging neatly on the back of the bedroom door. She has a shower and gets dressed, ready to go to work. She just has time to eat some toast.

Angela’s father drives her to work in the car. “Well good luck Angela don’t worry it will be all right once you settle in. I’ll pick you up at 5 o’clock.” She gives him a kiss on the cheek, before she gets out. “Thank you Father.”

She walks up to the entrance with her long auburn hair blowing in the wind. Her slim shapely body turns a few workers’ heads as she passes through the front door. She brushes some creases out of her clothes with her hands, then takes a deep breath and presses the button by the notice, “Please ring for attention and Wait at the reception window.”

Angela looks at the pictures of components made by the company. Suddenly she is stirred by a voice from the window. “Good morning, can I help you?” a woman appears “Oh! Yes, I’m Angela Smith I have come to start as your new receptionist.”

The woman looks confused for a moment, “Hang on a moment, I’ll get you some assistance”. This puts Angela’s mind into some doubt; had she the wrong department or even the wrong company?

Another woman appears at the reception. “Angela Smith? My name is Joan Sinclair, I have been asked to show you the ropes, come this way please”.
