A boy who just wanted to fit in.

“Here’s the plan Marc: You need to choose a person to get the sports trophy from Greenwood Prep,” Mez said, you couldn’t understand him because he didn’t have his front two teeth and he had failed English at school.

“Hmm… you over there! Ahh…” Marc pointed at Adrian.

“Adrian!”

“Are you up for this?” asked Mez.

“Yea, “course he is!” Marc interrupted just before Adrian could answer. Mez”s followers snickered. It looked like he didn’t want to be involved.

Adrian gave his board to Mez. Adrian gripped onto the fence and pulled his body up onto the fence and climbed to the top. He grabbed onto the curled barbed wire and brought one leg across the top. Some material tore off his pants when climbing over. He jumped off the five-metre fence and, once over the barbed wire, landed safely before looking back for directions. Mez pointed to the building furthest away as if he knew the school like he knew his home.

“Do you think he’ll do it?” Mez asked. You could sense he was nervous by the way he was talking.

“Maybe. Maybe not. You can’t tell, but he’s weak. Anyway, let’ s move off so we don’t get caught with him if the coppers come or we’ll be in big trouble,” Marc said. The group rode off on their skateboards, doing tricks while riding as they headed off to their hideout.

Adrian searched the building for an open entry, but found none whatsoever. He also saw dirty footprints inside. He decided to go back to ask the group for suggestions on how to get in. He walked to look less suspicious. When he got to where he entered, he discovered that they had left. He did a quick search around the area to make sure they weren’t hiding. He didn’t find anyone or anything. “What should I do? What should I do?” Adrian thought to himself.

He later decided to do a quick search around for easier ways to get out. He found a hole made by someone trying to get in or out. Adrian made sure he didn’t get anything caught on the fence on the way through. On the way out, he stumbled upon a jumper, with a rip that may have been caused by the fence, and bloodstains. Adrian picked it up and looked for a nametag. M.J SMITH was written on the jumper. Adrian looked around for his skateboard, but didn’t find it.
