Today I witnessed the heaviest fall I have ever seen. It was no mere precipitation, but a test of stamina and wits.
I awoke to an ice glazed window. I peered out and saw a world of white fluff. I ran downstairs and put on my boots, snow pants, and jacket.
I had to tackle to door to gain exeunt to the outside. The snow was already a foot deep. But luckily it was fluffy and light.
I retrieved a buried shovel and began to make miniature canyons to the road and neighboring houses.
I dug and lifted for an hour, completing my task of clearing the walkways. I looked back at where I started and it was already a few inches under.
I decided to let it stop snowing until I went back outside for more. After a hot lunch and a few hours of T.V. it still hadn’t ceased snowing.
An hour or so later I glanced outside and it had stopped. I called my friend to come hang and he was on his way in a matter of minutes.
I had to clear the way once more. The snow had deepened to an epic 2.5 feet.
I shoveled until my friend arrived. MY task was not complete, but tomorrow it will be.
