Compiled Opinions About Ghost Presence.

Resident Ghost – This would often refer to a place or spot where a particular ghost would show up. When a tragic accident happened where a life was lost, this ghost will show up during that same time the accident happened. It could be a white lady, a small child, etc. Sometimes they doesn’t pick up the exact time they would show up, and if they sense a living individual susceptible to see them they will appear. A room in the house with a loved one who had fallen sick and died maybe a common example, aside from the visual, there could be no disturbance or haunting and the entire household may take it for granted. There are several offices and establishments where people working in the place are so open minded about these visuals and ‘residents’ were regarded as added feature to freak out costumers or new employees.

The Death Zone– This involves a place where many lives were lost in the past. This could be a bridge, a portion on the highway, or an old house. Let us say, a bridge used to be an ambush area during the war were a platoon of soldiers were surprised by the enemies to their death, an old house where a religious cult used to offer human sacrifices centuries ago, or a town plaza where outlaws were hanged during time immemorial. The feature of this place is very creepy, unusual, etc. For unknown reason, electronic devices may not function. A car’s engine may suddenly conked out in the middle of the road before an accident happens, a child may stumble upon the ground while playing and never rise up again, in short this place takes lives without apparent reason. As for the place where my mother met her death aboard a passenger jeep, old folks in the area told that it was the spot where lots of guerilla soldiers were caught and slaughtered by the Japanese during World War II. That span of a kilometer highway in the middle of a ricefield could claim 5 lives in a year in various road accidents. At one time, farmers were burning dried hay to clear the ricefield for planting and despite quite a distance from the highway, the smoke converged at the middle of the road at the moment a tricycle and a truck were supposed to pass each other on opposite directions. The tricycle was hit by the truck causing it to lose control and hit the side of the road. The momentum took the poor vehicle at the site of the burning pile of hay. Nobody came to the rescue and the driver was torched to death when the gas tank exploded at the burning.

I love reading about psychic phenomena and enjoyed this piece. Cynicism is one of my strong points but I’m going to begin avoiding mirrors as much as possible. The return image hasn’t been looking all that much like me lately.

    Interesting article.

Good and interesting read. When you go around asking people if they have seen ghosts, some actually admit seeing ghosts or apparitions. Some people are sensitive to psychic phenomena, while others are not even if they have open minds and read about the topic.

Where I live I keep hearing creaking noises on the stairs – really loud creaking noises – but then again it is a very old building where renovations have been done couple years prior. And I never like looking in the mirror, lol. Another fascinating read, Will.

Thanks for your comments. Next time your article gets published, you read it again patiently because it happened to me more than twice where certain lines are mixed up you could hardly notice.I suppose there is a resident ghost or poltergeist here at Triond ready to wreak havoc. Let us be brave to face our ghosts…

The Death Zone is interesting as a concept, and something I have read about before under different names. As if a place or location is just plain evil and sucks life in to it. More please.

when my Dad died, I was 2,000 miles away, ill and could not make it home. I woke up one morning and saw him sitting on the foot of my bed. He looked at me and vanished. I believe he came to say Goodby.
Some times since my husband passed away, I can hear him walking through the house checking on things.
    good article

I find this very interesting, i myself do not really believe in ghosts’ but lets put that aside for a moment. I have had some strange experiences in the past, i once worked in a hotel called “lainston house” that was grade 1 listed building. We had something that used to where big boots’ & walk around in the roof space above the housekeeping office. as soon as you touched the loft hatch it stopped!! This would happen every week without fail, there was also a biulding called “chudely court”, it was built on the ground of the houses old garage. It was said that mrs Chudely hung herself in the garage, on one occasion a chair moved across the second floor landing to hold a door open. when i say moved i mean all by itself within seconds’ that would put the wind up anybody.

There was also a biulding called “the Barn Flat”, this was a converted barn that was used for loundry. during the day it was fine’ but during the night it was very different. as soon as you touched the door all your hairs would stand up’ and you would go as cold as ice.

I also worked in a hotel in devon that was creepy at night, i worked as a night porter. there was a night when i looked up from reception to see a shapless shadow moving across the reception. The problem was that there was no traffic outside, thick curtains that where closed, only dim emergency light and nothing moving to cast the shadow!! when i followed it into another room’ it vanishid.

What do you all think of that?
