Something interesting I read somewhere, to share with you, funny but meaningful…..
Though it is just about "eggs" but it actually meant for real life situation..

A father cooked 2 bowls of noodle, one bowl with an egg on top, another bowl with just plain noodle.  Asked his son to choose his preference.  The son chose the bowl with egg.  The father said “Hey, you should give way to the elderly, why you chose the bowl with egg?”  The son answered “Why should I be at the losing end?”  The father smiled and then they proceed with the eating of noodle, and later the son realised that his father’s bowl had 2 pieces of eggs underneath the noodle.

The father said “Remember, if you only think of own advantage, most likely you will not gain anything”

—————

Another day, the father cooked 2 bowls of noodle again, and the same as before, one bowl with an egg on top, another bowl the egg cannot be seen.  Asked his son to choose again.  This time the son thought he was smart and he chose the bowl without the egg.  To his disappointment, he realised that the bowl he chose really had no egg while his father ate the bowl of noodle with the egg

The father said “Remember, if you take advantage of people, most likely you will be at the losing end”.

Another day, the father cooked 2 bowls of noodle again, and the same as before, one bowl with an egg on top, another bowl the egg cannot be seen.  Asked his son to choose again.  This time the son said “Dad, let you have the privilege to choose instead”.  The father said “then I shall choose what I like”, and he chose the bowl with the egg on top.  The son smiled and ate his plain noodle happily, and then realised there was an egg undernealth the noodle.

The father said “Remember, if you don’t think of taking advantage of people, just take life naturally as it is, life should not be cruel to you too”

Interesting lesson. It’s rare that parents will teach their kids in this way nowadays. Goodness is gradually missing.
