Sometimes we need to take a look at life and just laugh. Things are not always what they appear to be but we learn to make the best out of a bad situation. It is what Thomas, Cynthia, George, and Savannah learned.

Once upon a time there was a married couple named Thomas and Cynthia Morgan and they lived in a Metropolitan City in a quiet condominium on the eighteenth floor. They did not have any children or pets of any kind. They enjoyed the peace that can come from being just a couple. Thomas was a Social Studies teacher at the High School and Cynthia was an Art History professor at the University. When they came home from work each day they delighted in a good dinner, followed by coffee, soft music, and from time to time one another. But on Wednesdays another couple would enter their sanctum sanatorium. They were George and Savannah Jenkins. George was an Orthodontist and Savannah was a Computer Programmer for IBM. They lived in the same condo as Thomas and Cynthia but their domicile was on the twenty-first floor.

The couples met in a crowded coffee shop. George was bumped while carrying his and Savannah’s espressos and dropped one of the cups in Cynthia’s lap. She quickly jumped out of her chair, George and Thomas rushed to her aide. She managed to avoid being being burn but her skirt was ruined. George apologized and Savannah offered to pay for the cleaning of her skirt. Cynthia took a towel brushed off her skirt and told them that no harm was done but took her offer for the cleaning. After that George asked if they could join them since all the tables were taken. Thomas motioned them to have a seat. They sat, got acquainted, and soon discovered that they not only lived in the same do but also had several other things in common. The greatest and favorite of these was food. They all relished in feasting on exceptional cuisine which was always followed by dessert and coffee. But what caught Cynthia and Savannah’s ear was the fact that Thomas and George loved to dabble in the kitchen. Furthermore, they learn that both husbands watched cooking shows, supposedly to improve their culinary skills. Both wives bragged on their husband’s ability to turn a pot or two. Savannah said while rubbing her hips that if she didn’t exercise every day she would be as big as a house and Cynthia nodded in agreement. Then Thomas shook George’s hand and said in a bad Humphrey Bogart impersonation, “This looks like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.” So, it began the Morgans and the Jenkins would meet every Wednesday not to play cards or board games but to watch Emeril’s cooking show on TV. They took turns cooking a meal and going to one another condo. This particular evening was the Morgan’s turn to play host to the Jenkins and this is what happen.

Very cute story, it\’s amazing how people will flock to a party and not even know the person giving it, even though it wasn\’t really a party, but it turned out okay for something that wasn\’t suppose to happen. You really like Macdonald\’s
