A story about whirlwind romance through the power of technology.

It’s ten o’clock in the morning. He felt so cold and about to chill. The air conditioner was high, it’s raining outside. He sat in front of his computer.

He met her on the chat room. At first he felt so insecure, because he is having a hard time conversing with the girl due to language barrier. The girl was from the Philippines he’s from India. But eventually it became better in a while, after the exchange of messages from each other.

Sharing of thoughts, information about their country and its culture filled their conversation. Some insights on how they view life, politics and technology. It would sound strange because he didn’t’ know her at all, but after eight long hours of chatting he fell in love with the girl.

He said, “What is it in you? That girl on-line that captures my heart. Every moment turns out right. I feel you near me, out of sight. But baby that’s fine. Just knowing you’re there, you made me smile…”

It’s already six in the evening. The rain has stopped, the moon is about to show up, but they were still together. Though it seems so far apart, the distance between each other made every moment for them much more romantic. Knowing that there’s someone he could talk to, be himself. There’s nothing much better.

Many hours past and its getting late. The girl on-line now has to go. So he’ll say goodbye to her, until next time they will still…

Again he said, “What is it in you? That girl on-line that captures my heart. Every moment turns out right. I feel you near me, out of sight. But baby that’s fine. Just knowing you’re there, you made me smile…”

Looking forward to see you someday…

Only time will tell if they will be able to see each other. It’s still up to them anyway, but one thing is for sure. Technology has made it possible to cross boundaries to surpass the distance between two lovers finding their way to each other’s arms…
