Here is a day from my life, which I consider as the most memorable – Mothers Day.

Long ago, like every year, mother’s day happened to fall in the month of May I guess. We wanted to make it very special because that was the first time both my aunts came down to my grandmother’s place for vacation.

One of my aunts came to my grand mother’s place for summer holidays with my cousin. Since she was staying at our place, it took hell of a time to get the cake. Somehow, my sister and I managed to order the cake, left to bakery nearby. Both of us could not decide which dress to wear for the day. Somehow, we managed to go out by wearing my peach dress. We did not know whether to buy chocolate, butterscotch or some other flavor available. We could not call home because my aunt was already wandering with her Sherlock Holmes eyes all along.

Finally, after so much of fussing and cracking our brains, we ordered butterscotch, returned as usual, and lied to my aunt that we had been to some grocery store nearby. In the evening around 6 pm, everyone was so engrossed in his or her own work. However, my aunt kept calm though skeptical. My elder sister was and all of us were ready with the cake to surprise them behind the curtains.

Around 6:30 in the evening, we held the curtain raiser for the surprise cake with the wishes on the cake as “Happy Mothers day, pretty ladies”. It was fun time and that was first and last most memorable mother’s day ever celebrated because later on everyone got busy and moved to other places. Anyhow, we had happy delightful mother’s day where I got sweet warm kisses from my aunts, best in the world.
