Squirt was hopping around because he couldn’t wait to go to the zoo field trip. He and Slater were going to see all the animals starting with the tigers and ending with snack time.
 

   Once on the school bus, Squirt and Slater talked about the animals they were going to see. Slater couldn’t wait to see the lions and monkeys, while Squirt was just happy to see any of the animals. They even talked about what they were going to eat. Slater said that his mama had packed grass cupcakes so that he and Squirt could share.

     Soon they were at the zoo. The teacher told all the bunnies to find a buddy and never leave the group. They all walked along, while the tour guide told them all about the animals. Next Slater was hopping around Squirt because soon they were going to be seeing lions and then the monkeys. Once they saw the animals it was time for lunch. Slater gave Squirt some of the green cupcake his mama had packed and finished eating. While sitting, they watched the other kids coming to see the zoo. And watched the birds and butterflies flying around.

     After lunch, everyone headed back to the bus, once at school the teacher had them draw their favorite thing from the zoo. Squirt’s mama soon came and picked him up from school. On the way home he told her all about the zoo and show her the drawing. Squirt couldn’t wait for the next field trip.
