Jonathan’s story will touch your very being, it will make you smile, but it will also make you cry. Jonathan’s story is being told in the hope that people will do something about all the other innocent souls who are having to suffer the same fate as he did. May they forever rest in peace.

Jonathan was a quiet soul, his calmness had a strong affect on all the people that he met, giving them an instant feeling of relaxation. He loved to talk to people and to listen to how they spoke and the expressions he would see them make while they were speaking.

He would watch from his window as the birds floated by high in the sky, he knew that they were at peace with nature’s ways. He listened to their song that seemed to hang in the still hot air; to him it was so beautiful.

For Jonathan the world was an incredible place full of excitement and many wonderful things. He just adored finding out new things, wanting to learn as much as he could about the way other people were thinking.

Jonathan would observe the people around him and listen very carefully to what they were saying, many times he would hear other things, but at these times the people were not speaking.

Looking up he noticed that the sky had got dark and that many clouds had gathered, but he was not afraid, he knew what this was and he knew that it was necessary.

The sky made a lot of noise, light flashed across the sky and it was now starting to drop the water from the clouds. As the water hit the ground it would jump up and down, before it ran away along the dirt road.

The sound of the dogs barking, somewhere in the distance, for some unknown reason made him feel very sad, but it did not last long.

Jonathan didn’t like to be sad, it made him feel bad and he didn’t want to feel bad. His mother had died last year and Jonathan knew exactly what it was like to feel bad.

He knew he had to think of good things and then the sadness would go away for a while. He thought about the good things that he had done with his mother and that made him smile.

Jonathan’s mind sometimes played tricks on him, because he was sure that he heard his mother laughing, but that could not be, she was now far away.

He knew that he would be with her one day and then he would laugh with her all the time. He also knew that he would soon see his father, his beloved father who he had lost three years ago when he went away to the hospital and never came back.

Jonathan had been born with the same disease in his body, which both his mother and father had in their bodies and this disease, finally took their lives. It would eventually take his as well.

Jonathan was only eight years old, but he had experienced so much in those short few years, he knew that it would soon be his turn to leave this world, but he was not afraid.

In fact, he was getting excited at the thought of being with his parents again and not feeling the pain that had been with him now for so long.

Many of Jonathan’s friends had died from the disease and he missed them all, just like he missed his parents, but nothing would bring them back, so he would have to go and find them himself.

There are many thousands of stories like Jonathan’s across the whole continent of Africa and all that the poor little innocent souls know is that they are standing at destiny’s door, waiting to be invited in.
