New love, Old love, back-stabbing and friendship from start to finish.

Jess:

The nagging feeling wouldn’t leave me be. I needed to tell him what was on my mind. ” Can I tell you something?” I said turning down the radio. He slowed down the car and looked at me quickly and then back to the road. ” Sure. Is something wrong?”

“Well, I am not sure how to come out and say it.” I reply.

” Just tell me.” He said tapping on the steering wheel.

” I like you.” Silence. He pulled into a gas station parking lot and turned off the car. He continued to stare ahead. ” I like you too.” More silence.

Eva:

He seems distant tonight. Barely touching the meal I spent hours preparing for him, on my birthday! ” Is the chicken bad?” I ask.

“No its fine. I’m not that hungry.” He replied, eyes glued to his plate. Something is wrong, he wont look at me.

“So, I saw an ad about a two bedroom house in town that’s for rent. I was thinking that maybe we could check it out this weekend.” I said changing subjects. He doesn’t reply but drops his fork onto his plate. This angers me. ” Ok, this is crazy! Obviously there is something wrong, so just tell me. I don’t want to get into a fight before my party tonight so please lets talk this out now. Is it about moving out together? Do you not want to anymore? Is that it? North we can wait, there is no rush.” He looks at me and shakes his head. “Eva, nothing is wrong ok, I’m just tired from work.” He says while looking at his watch. ” I have to go pick up Jess.” He gets up, leans over and kisses my forehead. ” I love you.” He walks out the door.

North:

I am going insane. It’s that simple. I am being torn apart by uncertainty. Should I move in with Eva? She is so excited about it. I love how she starts rambling on about furniture and dishes that she wants. Her face lights up and she is all smiles. I love her smile. But then there is Jess. I know that I am starting to feel something for her, although I don’t know how she feels about me. ” Hey you.” I turn around and there she is, Jess. She looks beautiful. ” Hey you scared me.” I laugh. She joins in with my laugh. I love her laugh.
