A popular street well-known for its plentiful shops, restaurants, and merchandise, Steinway Street is a great place for shopping or simply sight-seeing. Approximately one mile in length filled with several stores that will meet anyone’s needs and desires. Ranging from shoes, foods, video games, clothing, furniture, accessories, and much more.

Steinway Street is a special and unique street located in Queens of New York. It is known as the “The World’s Longest Department Store” and it is filled with dozens of stores on every block. It stretches for about a mile from 28th Avenue to 35th Avenue. The center of it where you can see hot dog stands on all four corners is in Steinway St and Broadway Ave. It doesn’t crowd as much as it does in Manhattan since there are no skyscraper buildings at all there but it’s still popular. Steinway Street is a busy street due to the many stores that exist there. Many are always being replaced by others which attract customers. There is very little natural elements or none at all if I remember. Cars always fill the roads creating traffics from time to time. Lots of pollution fill the air with the hundreds of vehicles that drive by everyday. There are no crossing guards due to the few, to no, accidents that occur in Steinway.Underground there is the subway where the R and M train stop near Steinway. During the late nights the E train replaces the R. Stores/Pharmacies/Banks that exist there now are McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, GameStop, Subway, Express, Gap, Rite Aid, Chase Bank,TD Bank, Bank of America, several gift shops, Conway, Victoria’s Secret, The Children’s Place, Entertainment Exchange, Foot Locker, Payless ShoeSource, Starbucks Coffee, Discount Pet Shop, Sprint, T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, 99¢, Popeyes, Taco Bell, and several other stores that stretch to many more blocks. The air is fresh and cool depending on the seasons. There is always an endless amount of people walking the streets and it is very rare to see Steinway Street empty at all. Some stores are open 24/7, but not all. It’s not like in Times Square (Manhattan) where people crowd the streets every second. Nevertheless, Steinway is still popular as ever.
