When three bodies disappear without a trace, and there are no clues as to what could have happened to them, One can only speculate as to their fate.

Most of us love unexplained mysteries. Some of the most compelling and interesting stories about unsolved mysteries are those where people or bodies disappear without a trace. I guess we love to speculate on what happened to these bodies. Was there a conspiracy? Did aliens abduct them? There is just something thrilling about trying to figure out what in the world could have happened.

This then is the story of three bodies that simply vanished into thin air. Where they went no one seems to know, their disappearance left behind not a single clue as to what could have happened to them, or even how they possibly could have simply vanished.

At this very moment the proper authorities are searching for answers to these strange disappearances in the meantime, I thought it would be fun to hear your ideas on this very strange mystery.

Let me begin, by explaining that these missing bodies are not the bodies of people. No one has dug up a grave, and there are no grieving relatives to care about the disappearance. Neither are they the bodies of a beloved pet. No backyards were raided, no pet cemeteries were broken into. As far as anyone can tell no crime was even committed.

These bodies though not human nor that of man’s best friend, were however, born of hard work and sweat. They were the bodies of three articles I had published to Bukisa, over the last three days.

When I received no publication notice from Bukisa on any of these articles I simply assumed their editors were taking their own sweet time approving them. At four O’clock this morning I found myself unable to sleep and decided to take a look at my Bukisa account and see if I could figure out what the hold up was.

To my surprise, instead of finding my articles marked pending I found them under drafts. I was quite puzzled. I knew I had published all three of these articles and while I might have hit the save button accidentally for one article it was doubtful I would have made the same mistake 3 times on 3 different days.

So, I decided to investigate. I clicked the edit button for the first article and low and behold the title was there, the keywords, were there, it was all there except for the body of my article. Luckily, I had a back up of the article so I simply recopied the body and hit publish.

I then checked the other two articles and found out the exactly same thing had happened to them. Again I republished them.

I then went to my content list and found that once again they all said draft. I once again checked, and again the body of each article was missing but nothing else.

I then contacted Bukisa and asked for them to investigate this mystery. I am at this moment waiting to hear what they discover.

In the meantime, I sit here picturing my articles and their cloned bodies floating around in cyberspace looking for a title to attach themselves to. Lost in the vast universe of millions of lost emails and articles, and pictures I wonder if they will ever find their way home.

Are they destined to remain lost to the hundred of thousand of people (okay the one or two people) who might have one day have enjoyed a brief moment or two spent with them?

Did I miss some vital clue to their where abouts? Has so much time past that the trail has grown too cold to follow?

These questions all haunted my mind in the wee hours before dawn.

With the sunrise came another thought. It is good, that I keep back ups of all my work. I would have been discouraged if those articles had vanished never to have published. Instead of feeling a sense of loss, I merely feel inconvenienced.

Ahhh, such is the life of a writer. Don’t you love it?
