Unsure of his love.

I’m not sure if he’ll ever love me. Love me the way I love him. I’m not sure if he cares enough to show me one way or another. I’m not sure he understands the time and effort I put into making him happy. Does he get that everything isn’t always compromising and lovely? That it’s truly me who compromises. It’s the girl right here who’s lovely, the one who initiate the truces. Dear sweet man how many more moments will we have before we’re torn apart by our silence? Stripped down of our layers of emotions built up over time and suddenly released and now we’re able. Able to be true and express, explain and explore a love that was buried in him and I long ago. A fate that has united us time and time again despite the forces of manipulation that saw such light from us shine their only mission became our defeat. As these last few moments passed I’ve made up my mind, today will be the day I ask.

I will be gentle and firm, bold and inviting I will sit him down and tell him how I feel and I will ask how he feels.

After today he will know that I think he is truly sent to me from a higher power. He will know he is my silver lining and how I dream about laying in his arms laughing at nothing as time passes. I will know that some days I may question myself and his feelings and all that bride-ish stuff, but I will know it kind of doesn’t matter. You see the silver lining to the worse scenario has already came to me in a dream and whispered peace of mind. I woke up knowing that it simply did not matter if I wasn’t positive or didn’t know anything. The bigger picture was that he has helped me finish growing up, he’s rekindle the faith in humanity I lost and used my heart to lift my spirit. For that I must give kudos, for we only have today and that I’m sure of.
