Perfect preschool short story about falling to sleep and dreaming fanciful dreams.
Close your eyes little one,
to dream your sweet dreams
Of all things that are good,
And all things that are happy.
What magic’s to come
before dawn’s early light
As crickets chirp
in the shadows of night.
On oceans of azure you’ll sail
under moonbeams so bright.
Just cast your net high
Far in the sky
To catch stars like fireflies
on a warm summer night.
All tucked in tight
Snug as a bug in a rug
To dream your sweet dreams
What wonders await!
Drift away on cotton candy clouds
To dance in the rain
and splash into puddles
Then slide down a rainbow
To find gold, don’t you know?
Canter away on your casrousel pony
Around and around
And up and down
To fields wide open and green.
Or hop upon an eagle’s back
to soar across wide canyons.
Visit castles and kingdoms
And cities of riches.
Play crochet with the king
Have cake with the queen.
Meet magicians and mermaids
and all kinds of folks.
Close your eyes now
First one, then two.
Let your dreams take you
Where ever they may.
Good night Little One,
sleep tight.
Dream Little One, dream
Of all things that are good
And all things that are happy.
