A long distance love.
Tender echoes of a beating tired alarm clock she awakes to. Lightly tossing an arm across her bed and feeling for a betrayed empty blanket. Her tired eyes briefly scanning of the last remains racing through her dreams. Now they open in guidance to a defeated frown upon her angelic face. Sighs lead after one another in disappointment as the words “I miss you” slide off her lips and fall to their death on vacated pillows. She kisses the air with a stare deep trembling in her chest. Hands clasp , sweat beads down her neck , fully awoken piercing green eyes.
Sun peering in shaded empty windows burning a trail across his fiery red hair. A stretch in morning angst separates him from heavenly scarred images of her angel eyes. There are no pillows or bed sheets that lay here. Sullen sadness hits in waves collided with sighs shouting her name in morning light. Like smoke lingering in sunlight. Searching that hard yet warm dim-lit room for her voice. The sound of her “I miss you” he fell awake to. Mysterious shadows from outside passerby’s crawled upon his ceiling almost spelling out her name. Through calloused expressions he struck a smile. It’s so hard but her eyes light up his heart like a store bound neon sign. A hand runs across his chest. His own. Pretending running fingers gliding through her billowing blond hair. “I miss you more”. Hearts in love at that exact moment though miles away. Hearts in love eternally forever and a day.
